What is your favorite part about studying at Umass Lowell?

My professors – they are so helpful and attentive.

How did the GSSP staff help with your adjustment to life in Lowell?

They helped me with my time management, choosing my classes and many other things

What do you think about Lowell?

It’s a great environment for studying.

What was the difficult part of your adjustment to this new environment?

GSSP helped me with the transition – I made friends in the community almost immediately.

What program are you studying?

Undergraduate GSSP: Electrical Engineering

What is your favorite part about studying at UMass Lowell?

Classes are VERY good, they are all very small too. I can interact with the professors easily, I can ask all the hard questions and always get thoughtful responses.

What do you like about the city of Lowell?

Lowell is a perfect place to study.

Are you involved with any clubs and organizations on campus?

Cricket Club and Difference Makers program.

What do you miss the most about your home country?

My food is something I miss, but I often cook with my friends.

Undergraduate GSSP: Chemical Engineering

What do you enjoy the most about studying at UMass Lowell?

The connection between the students and professors.

What activities are you involved in on campus?

I play in the UMass Lowell Cricket Team that was started by one of the GSSP students.

What do you like about the city of Lowell?

Lowell has a great environment for studying.

What do you think about the weather of Northern America?

I don’t mind the winters here, I love the snow.

What is your favorite food in your new city?

I tried Cambodian food for the first time here.

What program are you studying?

Undergraduate GSSP: Business Management

What is your favorite part about studying at UMass Lowell?

I made a lot of friends here, we all stay together and hang out all the time. It’s a lot of fun!

What do you think about classes here?

Any time I don’t understand something professors are very nice and they answer all of my questions. The classes are very small.

What do you do for fun?

I play soccer, basketball, pool, and I really like to go to the gym.

What do you like to do outside of your classwork?

I got a job as a graphic designed and photographer at our Recreation Center.

What program are you studying?

Undergraduate GSSP: Mechanical Engineering

What are some of your favorite things you have done in Lowell so far?

I really enjoy the environment here. I can really focus on my studies.

What are some of the fun activities you are involved in at the University?

I play soccer with a team. And I love hockey.

What advice would you give potential international students who are thinking of studying at UMass Boston?

Don’t bring any warm clothes, you can find everything here. There are many Asian stores.

What do you like about the city of Lowell?

Lowell is a very old city –it has a lot of history.
